On Scottish Shoulders
Apr. 10th, 2007 10:52 am

There was a lemur, a Chinese lemur
Who wandered far away and lemured far away
Who found one bolder, with good broad shoulders,
He fought in many a fray and fought and won
He's seen the glory, he's told the story
Of tides a coming-in and going out again
But now he's sighing his heart is crying
To reach those green hills of Tyrol.
Because this beach here is not highland hills
Or the Islands hills they’re not his lands hills,
As fair as these clean Broadstairs sands may be
They are not the hills of home.
